Description
Manchester in the 1970s is a nostalgic look at the city during a period of significant change. Chris Makepeace's photographs capture the reality of day-to-day life in Manchester, featuring street scenes, people, buildings, transport, events and iconic sites that have largely disappeared.
The book combines these images with posters and adverts to convey the unique flavour of the decade. With many of the photographs taken by the author himself, this is a rare opportunity to see previously unpublished images from the era.
