Description
First published in its entirety into Spanish, Los crímenes del amor is a two-volume collection of novels by one of France's most infamous writers. This work comprises eleven short stories that exemplify the genre of French literature known as "nouvelle courte", which the author himself critiques in an accompanying essay.
The tension between moral rationality and human nature is a central theme in these tales, according to Pierre Klossowski, who explores this idea in his own writing. The answer to this paradox lies not in a universal moral code, but rather in the inherent contradictions of human consciousness.
