Description
Lorenzo is a show that confronts the messiness of ageing and dying through storytelling, servitude to the audience and live carpentry. It's a life-affirming story about the author's experience as a live-in carer for his uncle, an irascible octogenarian prankster. The book is the full script of this show, with illustrations by the author himself. It was directed by Adam Brace and premiered at Summerhall during the 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it received critical acclaim. The show subsequently transferred to Soho Theatre, London. This book offers a unique glimpse into the world of performance art and the human experience of ageing and mortality. With its innovative format and powerful storytelling, Lorenzo is a thought-provoking read for anyone interested in drama and performance.
