Description
A darkly comedic black farce, Loot follows the misadventures of two young thieves, Hal and Dennis, as they try to lay low with their ill-gotten gains. After robbing the bank next door to a funeral parlour, they hide the loot in Hal's home, but their plan is quickly turned upside down by the arrival of Inspector Truscott. As the plot thickens, Orton subverts the conventions of popular farce, revealing a world gone mad and exploring the darker side of mid-century English attitudes.
