Description
Retired academic philosopher Meg Thorne becomes fixated on an idea: that elderly women could make ideal spies and detectives. She assembles a team of like-minded women, including Dorothy, ex-publican turned caterer, and Lila, former social worker. The 'Grey Ghosts' are hired to investigate the fears of 85-year-old resident Sara at the luxury Sunnyvale Residential and Care Home. Sara is living in fear, but can't explain why. Meg goes undercover as a temporary resident, while Dorothy gets a job in the kitchen. As they dig deeper, they uncover a secret connected to a friend's past, which becomes increasingly complicated by the coronavirus pandemic. When lockdown hits, Meg finds herself trapped inside Sunnyvale with the other residents, and her escape attempt is thwarted. As she learns more about Sara's fear, Meg realizes that the truth may be her only hope - but it also puts her in grave danger.
