Description

David Lamelas: Life as Activity explores the artist's multifaceted practice, blurring the line between fact and fiction. This book charts his experiments with conventional formats in sculpture, photography, film, and video, revealing the constructed nature of narrative and identity. Lamelas's works invite us to participate in fictional narratives while moving through space and time. The book features twelve projects spanning from 1966 to 2020, showcasing the inventive ways he directs his critical eye toward diverse contexts to reveal the proximity of fantasy and truth. Made in Argentina, Europe, and the United States, Lamelas's works demonstrate a unique approach to producing works that critically examine different media and contexts.
