Description
Hervé Guibert's correspondence with Belgian poet Eugène Savitzkaya spans nearly a decade, from 1977 to 1987. Their exchange of letters reveals a deep and complex relationship that evolved over time.
Their bond was forged through their shared passion for writing, which led to a intense and all-consuming connection. However, this passion eventually gave way to a more enduring friendship, one that explored new areas such as publishing and artistic collaboration.
These nearly eighty letters offer a unique glimpse into the intersection of life and writing, self and other, reality and fiction. Their publication marks a renewal of Guibert's oeuvre, making this correspondence an essential addition to any literary collection.
