Description
Omar Saif Ghobash reflects on his experiences growing up in a country marked by violence and trauma to explore what it means to be a Muslim. Born in 1971, Ghobash's life was shaped by the violent attack that took his father's life when he was just six years old. This event sparked a personal exploration of the complexities of Islam and its traditions. As Ghobash navigates the challenges faced by modern-day Muslims, he argues that it is essential for young people to find a voice that is true to their faith while engaging productively with the world around them. In "Letters to a Young Muslim", Ghobash shares his insights on how Arabs can work towards prosperity and peace in a globalized world. Through his personal story and thoughtful analysis, Ghobash seeks to address the pressing question of how moderate Muslims can unite and contribute to overall world peace.
