Description

Lemons are Not Red is a clever concept book that introduces young children to color through die cuts. The book features simple text and bright illustrations, with each spread showcasing a different color and its corresponding object. The title's central idea - that some things are not what they seem - is beautifully illustrated in the opening pages, where a big red lemon appears alongside a luscious red apple. As the reader turns the page, the lemon changes to yellow, and so on. The book continues with more examples, from carrots that are not purple to reindeer that are not white. The final spread features a peaceful night landscape, with the moon shown as silver rather than black. This title is suitable for early readers who are learning about colors and concepts.
