Description
Leaving Las Vegas tells the story of Sera, a prostitute who has built a life of independence and routine in a city known for its recklessness. However, her past is about to catch up with her in the form of Ben, an alcoholic who has arrived from Los Angeles with nothing left to lose.
Ben's journey across the desert has left him with little more than his savings, but he is determined to drink his way towards an early death. Sera and Ben meet on the strip, where they find in each other a respite from their unforgiving lives. As they navigate their complicated pasts, they must confront the emptiness that has driven them to this point.
This poignant novel explores the complexities of two characters struggling with addiction and the search for meaning in a city that seems determined to consume them.
