Description
In 1748, a woman's past as an enslaved person in Cuba comes back to haunt her. Caridad, a black woman, walks alone through the streets of Sevilla, leaving behind a son she will never see again and a long journey by ship to the Spanish coast. Her life is now one of freedom, but also uncertainty. She meets Milagros, a young gypsy from Triana, whose bloodline carries the spirit of rebellion and art. The two women form an unbreakable bond, sharing their passions for music and dance. However, their love is complicated by ancient feuds between their families. Meanwhile, Caridad finds herself drawn to Melchor Vega, Milagros' abuelo, a complex man who embodies both challenge and loyalty. As the royal mandate against gypsies takes hold, the lives of Milagros and Caridad are forever changed. Despite being torn apart, their paths will eventually converge in Madrid, where the city's vibrant culture and dark secrets come alive.
