Description
La noche sexual by Pascal Quignard In 2005, two years before its publication in France, Pascal Quignard traveled to the United States. His stay coincided with the vote on the decency law for media. The author described this law as "the American law against indecent images". Feeling anxious that censorship might cross the ocean and reach his continent, Quignard decided to write a collection of the most beautiful erotic images he had been collecting since adolescence. La noche sexual is both this "collection of indecent images" and a volume about the world of sex, a city in flames, an intense collection of erotic stories, a portrait of a dark, pulsional world, and a meditation on the night that lies within. This book is a personal work by one of France's most important writers of recent decades. It is a surprising and intimate work that showcases Quignard's unique perspective. Published in 2014, La noche sexual is a thought-provoking exploration of the human experience.
