Description
Donald Rumsfeld's memoir offers a unique perspective on his life and career, spanning four U.S. presidents and various high-profile roles. From his childhood to his time in Congress, the Navy, and as CEO of Fortune 500 companies, Rumsfeld shares candid observations and insights into the challenges he faced. As Secretary of Defense during the 9/11 attacks and subsequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, Rumsfeld provides a detailed account of his experiences. He also addresses the differences of views within the Pentagon and with other members of President George W. Bush's National Security Council. This memoir offers a fresh perspective on the complexities of power and politics. Through his story, Rumsfeld sheds light on previously undisclosed details about his time in office, including the concept of "unknown unknowns" that he once described.
