Description

Kiss in the 1970s Decades is a comprehensive account of one of rock music's most iconic bands. Against all odds, Kiss rose to become one of the biggest names in America during their first decade. The story behind their success is one of perseverance and creativity, as they overcame poor production, scathing reviews, and commercial indifference to achieve mainstream success. This book explores the band's studio albums, legendary live albums, and the tumultuous period that saw them release four solo albums simultaneously. From the elaborate costumes and concerts to the merchandise, television appearances, and a disastrous movie, this book delves into every aspect of Kiss's rise to fame in the 1970s.
