Description
Ryudai Takano's photography series "Kikuo" presents an unflinching portrayal of the human form. Inspired by European classical paintings, Takano's work often subverts expectations, challenging traditional notions of beauty and representation. The title "Kikuo" is a nod to Takano's own encounter with a muse-like figure, which had a profound impact on his artistic vision. This photograph marked a turning point in Takano's creative journey, leading him to explore the intersection of art and photography for over a decade. Takano's photographs have evolved significantly since their inception, reflecting the changing landscape of art and technology. His work invites us to rethink our relationship with vision and perception, encouraging us to consider the complexities of what we see in the world around us.
