Description
John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches is a biography that delves into the life of John C. Holmes, the world's first porn star. Born in Ohio and moving to California in 1964, Holmes' rise to fame was unexpected, particularly given his profession. Holmes' addiction to cocaine led him down a path of desperation, resulting in a series of tragic events, including a robbery at the home of Ed Nash, a powerful nightclub owner. However, before his death in 1988, Holmes rebuilt his life and career, but the consequences of his addiction and association with the Wonderland murders left a lasting impact on his legacy. This biography offers a nuanced look at the human being behind the headlines, unearthing the complexities and contradictions that defined Holmes' life.
