Jill Has Two Horses by Jemma Spark is a heartwarming story about a young girl's passion for horses. Jill has a beautiful grey horse, Balius, but she dreams of owning another, trained horse to compete in open events. As she sets out on a journey from Scotland to Cornwall, Jill takes Balius with her and meets an array of colourful characters along the way, including a horse dealer, a racing couple, and a jolly family living on Dartmoor. Her adventures take her across England, as she earns money to buy herself a second horse. With its mix of horses, adventure, and everyday life, Jill Has Two Horses is a charming tale of one girl's determination and perseverance.
