Description

Jaws Unmade: The Lost Sequels, Prequels, Remakes, and Rip-Offs by John Lemay explores the lesser-known history of the Jaws franchise. From unproduced sequels to infamous remakes, this book delves into the murky world of film development and studio interference. The author examines a range of films, including Devil Fish, Orca Part II, and Sea Dragon of Loch Ness, which were either abandoned or reworked beyond recognition. The book also investigates the production of Jaws 2, including its original darker script and the reasons behind its retooling. Additionally, Lemay explores the possibility of a Jaws 5, shedding light on the often-overlooked history of this iconic franchise. By uncovering these lost films and forgotten storylines, Jaws Unmade offers a unique perspective on the evolution of the Jaws franchise and the challenges faced by filmmakers in bringing their visions to life.
