Description

Jakeman tells the story of Jake and his sister Shoshona, who have been living in foster care since their mother was arrested three years ago. To cope with their situation, they've developed different ways of dealing with their emotions: Shoshona has become a protective figure, while Jake creates an alter ego called Jakeman to express himself.

When their adult chaperones fall ill on one of their annual trips to visit their mother in jail, the group's driver abandons them and sets off without them. Left stranded in the middle of nowhere, Shoshona takes charge and devises a plan to reach the Governor's house and plead for clemency on their behalf.

As they navigate this challenging journey, Jake and his friends face unexpected obstacles and learn valuable lessons about resilience, resourcefulness, and the power of standing up for what they believe in.
