Description

Description

Irrationality by Lisa Bortolotti presents a clear and engaging exploration of the concept, examining its many facets and offering an original account of its importance. The book delves into the standards against which human behaviour is measured, reviewing the implications of judgements of irrationality for ethics and policy. Bortolotti argues that we should adopt a more critical stance towards accepted standards of rationality in light of philosophical inquiry and cognitive science research into decision making. This accessible guide to irrationality will be valuable reading for those interested in understanding the limitations of human cognition and agency, making it an ideal choice for students and scholars in the field.
