Description

Deep Purple's 1993 departure from lead singer Ian Gillan marked a turning point for the band. Ritchie Blackmore's subsequent exit was a dramatic consequence, but it paved the way for Steve Morse to join and shape the future of Deep Purple. This book examines the 'Morse Era', exploring both its successes and setbacks. It chronicles the band's evolution through albums, tours, and musician lineups, as they navigated their new trajectory while still grappling with the legacy of that fateful night at the NEC Arena in Birmingham. A critical look at this pivotal period in Deep Purple's history, the book offers a nuanced understanding of the band's enduring spirit and resilience.
