Description

John Smith works for One Percent, a clandestine organisation that employs him to clean up messes for those who can afford his services. He has rare gifts, including the ability to read minds. At a wedding, he witnesses a group of gunmen open fire, and despite being unarmed, he cripples one of the killers and uncovers a cryptic word: "Downvote." This leads him to investigate a mysterious threat called Downvote, an encrypted site on the dark net that lists celebrities' names and offers bounties for their deaths. Smith's quest takes him from Hong Kong to Reykjavik and finally to a luxury resort in the Laotian jungle. Along the way, he is aided by a scary-smart female bodyguard who becomes his partner. As they hunt down the mastermind behind Downvote, Smith must use his unique abilities to stay one step ahead of their prey. The only way to stop Smith is for the creator of Downvote to kill him, as this genius can run but cannot hide from someone who can read minds.
