Description

Housing Fit for Purpose sets out a research-focused approach to understanding the challenges facing the built environment in designing, constructing and managing housing. Fionn Stevenson explores how learning from feedback can improve outcomes for end users, drawing on original research that distils practical insights for built environment professionals. The book examines key concepts underlying participatory design, occupancy feedback and learning, and provides a practical primer on undertaking housing occupancy feedback. By linking design, construction and management to actual evidence of how people choose and learn to use their homes, Stevenson offers a valuable framework for improving the performance of housing projects.
