Description
Captain Alan Lewrie is facing a daunting task in the summer of 1805, as rumors of a massive French fleet bring fears of invasion to the tranquil port of Nassau in the Bahamas. With his squadron of sloops, Lewrie must defend the port against all odds, risking his very life in the process. Reinforced and relieved, Lewrie sets off for a welcome return to England, only to receive fresh orders to the South Atlantic under the mercurial Commodore Sir Home Riggs Popham. The Reliant frigate, under Lewrie's command, is tasked with retaking the Cape of Good Hope from the Dutch, allied with France. However, Popham's ambitions soon get the better of him, and Lewrie finds himself embroiled in a new and perilous adventure in 1806.
