Description
Untitled 19" x 15" presents a unique collection of photographs showcasing found objects from the streets of New York. By manipulating these everyday items, the artist invites us to reevaluate our perception of them and their original purpose. The resulting images evoke a sense of intimacy and depth, as if we are being shown a sculpture rather than a photograph. The level of detail encourages us to examine each image closely, uncovering the beauty that lies between the lines. For the artist, altering the objects' meaning is a way of challenging our assumptions about their purpose. Through his work, Salinas demonstrates a thoughtful approach to curating and manipulating materials to create harmonious compositions from discordant elements.
