Henry Spencer Moore: Shadows on the Wall explores the significance of walls in his drawings after World War II. This book accompanies an exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery and offers a new reading of Moore's celebrated Shelter series. Moore's fascination with images of walls began after the destruction of his London studio early in World War II, when he started drawing figures sheltering from bomb raids in the London Underground.
