Description
Lord Tilbury's decision to travel to Blandings Castle sets off a chain of events as he seeks to steal Galahad Threepwood's memoir. However, he is not the only one after the manuscript, with Sir Gregory Parsloe-Parsloe and Lady Constance Keeble also trying to prevent Ronnie Fish and Sue Brown from getting married. Monty Bodkin, Lord Emsworth's new secretary, is another interested party seeking to secure a year's employment at the Mammoth Publishing Company. As tensions rise, it becomes clear that only one person truly knows what will happen to the manuscript - the Empress of Blandings. With several individuals vying for possession, the outcome is far from certain. This humorous tale of love, marriage, and manuscript mayhem is a worthwhile read for fans of witty prose and clever plotting.
