Description
Daft Matt wanders the streets of Castlebar in search of Devil's feet - the claw marks of the cága, or jackdaws, who have spoken to him since he was a boy. His journey is one of self-discovery and exploration of the complex workings of his inner life. Born from a unique blend of loss, carefree days, and hardship, Matt's story is richly imagined and beautifully written. It delves into the aftermath of a devastating accident that would see him incarcerated in the care system for thirty years, and how he copes with the loss of his twin brother as a child. This poignant and thought-provoking tale invites readers to look beyond the surface of things, revealing a deeply personal and emotional exploration of what it means to be human.
