Description
George Frideric Handel and Jimi Hendrix lived at 25 Brook Street in London. This house has been the subject of much interest due to its connection with two of the greatest musicians ever to have lived there. Handel composed some of his most famous works, including Messiah's Hallelujah chorus, while living here from 1723 until his death in 1759. In contrast, Jimi Hendrix moved into an adjoining flat at number 23 in 1968 and found a sense of home where he entertained and collaborated with other iconic figures of British rock music. The house has now reopened following a £3million restoration, offering new insights into the lives of these two musical legends.
