Description
Hardcover, 292 pages, published December 2018. This book tells the story of five ordinary men who became extraordinary peace activists. Ernie Sanchez, Woody Powell, Gregory Ross, Daniel Craig and Jonathan Hutto are all veterans who have dedicated their lives to promoting justice and lasting peace. Through rich profiles, acclaimed sociologist Michael Messner reveals what drove these men to join the armed forces, their experiences in combat, and how they overcame the trauma of war to become powerful voices for change. These five men come from different backgrounds and generations, but share a common motivation - to use their experiences to help others heal and find peace. Their stories are a testament to the power of human resilience and the impact one person can have on creating lasting change.
