In 2155, twenty years after a lost war, humanity is confined to Earth under an impenetrable slave shield. A small group of nearly 2000 individuals are left to serve their masters on a starbase in orbit around the planet. The starbase was originally intended to be resupplied every five years, but eight cycles have passed without any sign of relief. As resources dwindle and life support begins to fail, hope seems lost. However, the arrival of visitors from outside could potentially change everything. This book is the first part of a novelization based on a popular computer game released in 1992. The story that unfolds is one of survival, rebellion, and the possibility of escape from a desperate situation.
