Description
When life takes an unexpected turn, it's hard to keep things in perspective. For Emily Joy, leaving behind her comfortable life as a doctor in Britain wasn't just a change of scenery - it was a leap into the unknown.
She headed off for two years to a remote hospital in Sierra Leone, where she faced challenges that would test even the most seasoned medical professional. But despite the difficulties, Emily found herself drawn to the resilience and optimism of her patients. As she navigated this new and unfamiliar world, she discovered that sometimes it's okay to not have all the answers.
With its unique blend of humor, humility, and heart, Green Oranges on Lion Mountain is a story about finding hope in unexpected places - and learning to appreciate the beauty in the imperfect.
