Description

Three playwrights from Scotland come together to create a unique collaboration in this innovative play. Mick searches for reconciliation, Carla seeks love, Al looks for security, and Jo tries anything for a way out - all struggling with the consequences of money and love. Gilt is a modern mosaic about the human condition, exploring how our choices affect us. Commissioned by 7:84 Theatre Company, this play was first performed at Paisley Arts Centre in October 2003 before touring to Soho Theatre, London. The result is a thought-provoking work that brings together seven characters whose lives intersect and influence each other. With its exploration of love, money, and the human condition, Gilt offers a compelling insight into the complexities of modern life.
