Giancarlo de Carlo: Experiments in Thickness This book presents the work of Giancarlo de Carlo built in Urbino between the 1960s and 1970s. De Carlo's engagement with the town began in 1951, when he carried out a refurbishment of the university rector's offices. The eight buildings featured in this book were designed during a period of significant debate about modernist architecture and urbanism. The project is part of the "Everything without Content" series, which explores the work of individual architects and firms. Drawings by students from the Academy of Architecture USI, Mendriso, accompany photographs by Stefano Graziani to showcase de Carlo's designs in this collection.
