Description
The German Architecture Annual 2018 presents a selection of 22 buildings in Germany that were shortlisted for the DAM Prize for Architecture in Germany 2018. This year's edition includes interviews with distinguished authors who discuss these buildings in greater detail, as well as special recognition for the winner of the award. In addition to the shortlisted works, the book features two essays exploring current trends in architecture, including a model used in Hamburg for allocating land and the growing interest in architecture for theatre and music venues. The Elbphilharmonie is also given special mention, although it was not eligible for the award due to its exceptional nature. This bilingual edition, published by DOM Publishers, provides an in-depth look at the latest developments in German architecture, making it a valuable resource for architects, designers, and anyone interested in the subject.
