Description
Georg Aerni's Silent Transition showcases ten years of his photographic work, focusing on transformation processes. The Swiss photographer documents plastic greenhouses, residential houses built overnight, and natural landscapes such as olive trees and rock faces. Aerni's lens captures the impact of human activity on the environment, from agricultural mass production to urbanization and erosion. His photographs invite contemplative observation and raise questions about our relationship with nature and society. This new monograph features 166 color and black-and-white plates accompanied by texts and an essay, offering a comprehensive overview of Aerni's ongoing work.
