Description
This 2017 publication presents an overview of General Idea, a Canadian collective founded in 1969. The trio's work blended reality and fiction, creating a transgressive and often parodic take on art and society.
The book explores the collective's main themes, including the artist and creative process, glamour as a creative tool, and the links between art and mass culture. It is richly illustrated with documents and reproductions of key projects from 1969 to 1994.
