Description
The Future of Work Robots, AI, and Automation by Darrell M. West presents a thought-provoking exploration of how society will be transformed by the increasing presence of robots, artificial intelligence, and automation in everyday life. As these technologies advance, they raise fundamental questions about the nature of work, the social contract, and the economy. How will we adapt to a world where many jobs are no longer available due to automation? What new forms of employment and social benefits will emerge to support individuals who are no longer part of the workforce? West argues that it is essential to rethink our assumptions about work and develop a more flexible and adaptive approach to addressing these challenges. This book offers a range of proposals for navigating the transition from an industrial to a digital economy, including new ways of thinking about employment, volunteering, and leisure time. By exploring these ideas, West provides a valuable framework for understanding the complex social and economic implications of emerging technologies.
