Description
Funtime Piano Music from China - Level 3a-3b by Nancy Faber and Randall Faber is an engaging collection of folk songs and original Chinese works for early intermediate pianists. This special edition features dance-like rhythms, dramatic movement across the keyboard, sonorous use of the pedal, and fast tempi with crisp articulations. The music explores fascinating aspects of China, including flowing canals, majestic elephants, peacock dances, mooncakes, and mountain songs. Students will enjoy improvisation and composition activities where they create their own Chinese sounds, while also interpreting questions from LeLe the panda. The book includes six pieces: Elephant, The Flowing Canal, Gazing at the Moon, Mountain Song, Northwest Rains, and Peacock Dance. This collection is perfect for pianists looking to expand their musical horizons with a unique blend of traditional Chinese music and engaging piano repertoire.
