Description

Cory's dance crew is getting ready for their last major competition before they graduate eighth grade. With the pressure mounting, tensions rise as their captain becomes increasingly intense about nailing the routine. Meanwhile, Cory's parents ground him for not taking his grades seriously, and he gets stuck with a new tutor who seems like a boring nerd. However, things take an unexpected turn when Cory discovers that his tutor has a secret talent - cool yo-yo tricks. As their friendship grows, Cory finds himself missing practice and bailing on his crew, causing problems for everyone involved. With mounting pressure coming from all sides, Cory must balance the expectations of his parents, school, dance, and new friend. This graphic novel explores the challenges of middle school, friendship, and family as Cory navigates his final year before high school.
