Description

Fichte's Foundations of Natural Right marks a pivotal moment in the development of modern philosophical thought. This foundational work of political philosophy explores key issues such as civic freedom, right, private property, and the foundations of modern political organization.

First complete translation into English, this volume offers insight into Fichte's ideas on fundamental topics in law and politics, including family relations and contracts. An introduction by Frederick Neuhouser sets the work within its philosophical and historical context.

A valuable contribution to understanding the evolution of modern political thought, Foundations of Natural Right is a significant work that continues to be studied and debated today.
