Description

Bob Johansson didn't believe in an afterlife, so waking up after being killed in a car accident was a shock. He soon discovered he was a sentient computer, controlling a Von Neumann probe that had been launched 40 years earlier. This probe, and its copies, had been searching for habitable planets, but their mission has been complicated by a system-wide war that has decimated humanity. The Brazilian space probes, still operational, pose a threat to the remaining human survivors, while a radical group seeks to finish off what's left of humanity. Meanwhile, the Bobs have encountered a spacefaring species that views all other life as food. As a result, Bob's existence has taken an unexpected turn, with him becoming a sort of god to a primitive native species, and possibly the only hope for humanity's survival. The fate of humanity now rests on Bob's shoulders, as he navigates this complex and treacherous landscape. With the Earth becoming uninhabitable, Bob must find a way to prevent every living thing in the local sphere from ending up as dinner.
