Description
Emily Kingsley's life is about to change forever when she arrives at her Great Aunt Mary's funeral. Still reeling from a recent heartbreak and grappling with the cracks in her parents' marriage, Emily is overcome with emotion as she says goodbye. However, the sombre occasion takes an unexpected turn when it's revealed that Mary has appointed Emily and her cousin Clemmie as executors of part of her will. They are tasked with transporting her ashes to Mali, a journey that will take them deep into the Saharan desert in search of Timadjlalen, a place that no one has ever heard of. As they embark on this adventure, Emily and Clemmie begin to uncover Mary's 60-year-old secret, which slowly reveals why she chose this remote location as her final resting place.
