Description
A memoir with a twist: Kif Kehlmann agrees to write the life story of notorious con man Siegfried Heidl in just six weeks. But as the deadline draws near, he begins to question whose story is being told - his own or Heidl's. As the lines between truth and fiction blur, Kehlmann finds himself caught up in a web of corruption and deceit. Heidl proposes a deal: $10,000 for Kehlmann's ghostwriting services, but at what cost? The more he writes, the more he fears he is losing himself to Heidl's influence. Is this a memoir, or a carefully crafted forgery? A darkly comedic and unsettling exploration of identity and deception, First Person raises questions about the nature of truth and the power of storytelling.
