Description

Jasper Tudor's life was one of quiet comfort, far removed from the intrigue of the royal court. However, when he and his brother Edmund were summoned to London, their half-brother King Henry VI took a keen interest in their future. The king bestowed Earldoms on both brothers and gave them the wardship of young Margaret Beaufort. As Jasper grew devoted to Margaret, he became devastated when her betrothal was arranged with Edmund. Seeking solace in his estates and the arms of Jane Hywel, a young Welsh woman, Jasper found himself drawn to something more meaningful than a dynastic marriage. But as the Wars of the Roses ravaged the realm, Jasper's loyalty to his fragile king and domineering queen, Marguerite of Anjou, was tested. With his guile and courage, Jasper must navigate treacherous alliances and preserve their throne − and the Tudor destiny that hung in the balance.
