Description

Rosita Sweetman's memoir and documentary offers a candid look at her experiences in the Irish Women's Liberation Movement. She recounts the challenges faced by women in 1970s Ireland, as well as the struggles of feminism itself to bring about change. Sweetman argues that true feminism is not about blaming men or promoting a select few, but rather about creating a world where everyone can thrive. Her personal story, including her experiences with marriage and rediscovering her own feminism, serves as a powerful testament to this vision. Through her writing, Sweetman sheds light on the darker aspects of Ireland's past and the ongoing impact of misogyny and repression on women worldwide.
