Description
Bob's life takes an unexpected turn when he is asked to stand as godfather to his friend Geoff's child. As he navigates this new role, he finds himself drawn to Beata, a beautiful woman who is married to his colleague Stirling. They fall in love, but their happiness is short-lived as she is tragically killed by a landmine while delivering polio vaccine. The experience leaves Bob reeling and forces him to confront the complexities of his own life and relationships.
