Description
Djuna's dazzling speculative fiction introduces English readers to a universe at once familiar and clearly fantastical. This collection brings together six stories set in the Linker Universe, where a mutating virus sends human beings reeling through the galaxy into a dizzying array of fracturing realities. Blending influences ranging from genre fiction to golden-age cinema, Djuna's stories form a mordantly funny critique of the human condition as it evolves into less and more than what it once was. With a unique blend of satire and science fiction, this collection is a worthwhile read for fans of speculative literature. Djuna, one of South Korea's most prolific and important writers in science fiction, has published numerous short story collections, novels, essays, and uncollected stories. This book offers an exciting introduction to their work, showcasing the author's brilliant intertextual style and sharp wit.
