Description
David Hume's provocative writings on religion bring to light a lesser-known aspect of his philosophy. This collection includes seminal works such as "On Suicide" and "On the Immortality of the Soul", alongside an unpublished letter in Spanish that showcases Hume's fierce criticism of organised religion.
Through these pages, readers will encounter a more radical and combative side of Hume's thought, one that challenges traditional notions of faith. The edition is complemented by an extensive introduction and copious notes from a specialist in the field.
This volume offers a unique insight into Hume's secularising philosophy, shedding light on his views on religion and its place in modern society.
