Description
Kit's life is waiting to begin, but his adoptive parents' mundane existence holds him back. He finds solace in the bohemian world of his Uncle Col and Marianne, who live in a sprawling family mansion known as Erringby.
In this debauched summer, Kit becomes increasingly obsessed with his aunt, leading to a night that changes everything. As he grapples with the aftermath, Kit's life spirals out of control, along with those of Marianne and Col. Against the changing cultural landscape of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, Erringby is a captivating coming-of-age novel.
A complex exploration of identity, desire, and belonging, Erringby is a thought-provoking read that echoes themes found in Great Expectations.
